The SG90 360-degree continuous rotation servo looks identical to a standard micro servo but operates differently. Instead of moving to a specific angle, it acts like a standard DC motor with a built-in motor driver. The PWM signal sent by the microcontroller controls both the speed and direction of rotation, rather than its position. It is highly popular in DIY robotics for building compact wheeled rovers, continuous spinning mechanisms, and automated panning systems. It easily interfaces with Arduino, ESP32, NodeMCU, and Raspberry Pi without needing an external motor driver like the L298N.
